About the Role:

  • Review and process denial workflows to prevent delayed payments and maintain high recovery rates.
  • Analyze credit balances and resolve issues efficiently, following established procedures.
  • Prepare appeal packets, scan and save supporting documentation, and update workflow systems with clear notes and follow-up dates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and refine collection strategies, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office skills to manage data, create reports, and maintain accurate records.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a finance-related field is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in medical collections, preferably in a high-volume environment, with knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis codes, CPT medical service codes, UB-04, and HCFA-1500 forms.
  • Strong understanding of medical collections compliance, Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, workers' compensation, and auto-no-fault payer types.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
