Job Title: Senior Vice President of Inclusion and Accessibility

Broward County, FL is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vice President of Inclusion and Accessibility to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract and engage the LGBT community, ensuring inclusivity and representation in all global marketing efforts, and fostering partnerships with relevant organizations and stakeholders to promote the destination as a welcoming and inclusive place for LGBT+ and Accessible travelers.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the travel and tourism platform, with strong marketing and communication skills, and the ability to make key analyses and judgments based on prior knowledge and experience. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure that Greater Fort Lauderdale is accessible to all individuals, regardless of their abilities, and creating inclusive marketing campaigns, educating both locals and visitors, working with local businesses and national organizations to improve accessibility, and advocating for the needs of individuals with disabilities in the tourism industry.

As a Senior Vice President of Inclusion and Accessibility, you will be responsible for developing and managing the department's budget, approving major expenditures, and liaising with other Visit Lauderdale departments to ensure alignment with the department's vision and strategic plan. You will also be responsible for representing the destination at regional, national, and international level at industry and client events, providing input to the communications team, public relations, advertising agency, and media buyer regarding conventions and meetings trends, needs, and messaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and engage the LGBT community, ensuring inclusivity and representation in all global marketing efforts
  • Foster partnerships with relevant organizations and stakeholders to promote the destination as a welcoming and inclusive place for LGBT+ and Accessible travelers
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure that Greater Fort Lauderdale is accessible to all individuals, regardless of their abilities
  • Create inclusive marketing campaigns, educate both locals and visitors, and work with local businesses and national organizations to improve accessibility
  • Advocate for the needs of individuals with disabilities in the tourism industry

Requirements:
