Position Overview:
As a Sales Engineer and integral member of the Central Region sales team, you will be responsible for fostering business expansion in our client's advanced analytical instrumentation, including microwave-assisted synthesis, digestion, FTIR, and Raman spectroscopy within the designated territory. Your ideal location is within the Greater Chicago or Milwaukee area, although other major cities in the region may be considered.

Compensation Package:
The salary range for this role is between $86,000 and $97,300 annually. The commission structure is uncapped, commencing from the first dollar earned, and includes bonuses for surpassing sales targets. Additionally, a comprehensive benefits package is provided, along with a profit-sharing contribution to your 401k, and a $10,000 anniversary bonus every five years, in addition to a monthly vehicle allowance and mileage reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities while effectively managing current client relationships.
  • Delivering presentations to diverse audiences, including executive leadership, scientists, and technical staff.
  • Assessing potential opportunities, crafting proposals, and successfully closing sales.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in capital equipment sales, with a preference for analytical instruments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong presentation capabilities.
  • The ability to work autonomously while demonstrating a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a natural science or engineering field, with a preference for Chemistry.
  • Familiarity with Analytical or Synthetic Chemistry, particularly in sample preparation for trace metal analysis (e.g., ICP-MS, ICP-OES, AA) is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight trips (up to 75%).
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a passport.
