Faculty Position in Environmental Science and Studies/Plant Biology

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Biological Sciences and Environmental Science and Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach undergraduate courses in environmental science and plant biology, and to pursue an active research program that takes advantage of the University's new Science, Innovation, Technology and Exploration building.

Responsibilities- Teach courses in environmental science and plant biology, including introductory and upper-level electives
- Develop and maintain an active research program that engages students and leads to scholarly presentations and publications
- Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
- Contribute to departmental and university service, including committee work and outreach activities
- PhD in Plant Science or a closely related field
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and publish research related to plant science
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence
- Teaching experience at the college level
- Expertise in medicinal plants, plant physiology, ecology, genetics, and/or ethnobotany
- Postdoctoral research experience
