About the Opportunity:
Quinnipiac University's Department of Biological Sciences is seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Faculty member to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Biology. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience teaching introductory biology, human anatomy and physiology, and molecular and cell biology.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive course syllabus, aligning with the department's curriculum goals.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, labs, and assignments that promote student learning and success.
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Hold regular office hours to support student learning and address questions or concerns.
- Stay current with developments in the field of biology and incorporate relevant research and best practices into course materials.
- Collaborate with department colleagues to ensure consistency and quality in course offerings.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and program initiatives.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Biology or a related field is required; a Ph.D. is preferred.
- Relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
- Evidence of recent effective teaching and a commitment to student-centered learning.
- Experience with instructional technologies, particularly learning management systems.
