Patient Registration Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Registration Specialist to join our team at Covenant Health (Tennessee). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating the centralized scheduling of outpatient diagnostic and surgical procedures, ensuring accurate collection and data entry of financial and demographic information, and verifying benefits and pre-certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the scheduling of outpatient diagnostic and surgical procedures, ensuring accurate and timely processing of patient information.
- Collect and enter demographic, medical, and financial information for patient registration and verification, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify insurance benefits and pre-certification requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory and insurance requirements.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient registration and scheduling information.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient use of resources.
- Stay up-to-date with regulatory and insurance requirements, ensuring compliance and accuracy in patient registration and scheduling.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- One year of experience in a hospital or financial setting, or three years of customer-facing experience required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and insurance requirements.
