Hotel Assistant General Manager Job Description

Are you a seasoned hospitality professional looking to take your career to the next level? We're seeking a highly skilled Hotel Assistant General Manager to join our team at stayAPT Suites Columbus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure seamless hotel operations, overseeing daily activities and managing staff to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to implement brand standards, maximize financial returns, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive hotel profitability, improve guest satisfaction, and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Manage online reviews, maintain a strong online reputation, and ensure consistent quality standards across all aspects of hotel operations.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills, and empowering team members to do the same.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive hotel success.
  • Work closely with the human resources department to develop and implement effective employee retention strategies.
  • Manage financial processes, including secure cash handling and processing procedures, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Assist in planning, managing, and attending guest events, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience for all guests.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in hotel management, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive hotel profitability and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with guests, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, and the ability to utilize these tools to drive hotel success.
  • US work authorization and a high school diploma or equivalent required.
Compensation:

$43,888 per year, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
