We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at PAR, a Professional Employment Agency. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately determining project costs for our custom home building projects.

Position Overview: As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for custom home projects, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating with architects and subcontractors to gather pricing information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare comprehensive estimates for custom home projects, including materials, labor, and timeframes.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to create accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and subcontractors to gather pricing information.
  • Review and assess vendor and subcontractor proposals to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
  • Monitor ongoing projects to track actual costs vs. estimates and make adjustments as needed.
  • Prepare bid packages and participate in the negotiation process with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and requirements for estimates.
  • Assist in the development and updating of cost databases for materials, labor, and other construction-related expenses.
  • Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize costs while maintaining quality and design integrity.
  • Present estimates and budget breakdowns to clients, ensuring transparency and alignment with their expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator, ideally within the luxury custom home or high-end residential sector.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and costs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cost analysis.
  • Proficient in estimating software with Buildertrend and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with an ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
