About the Role

Aqua Engineers Inc is seeking a highly skilled Wastewater Treatment Operations Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for providing overall support to the operations teams and serving as the direct responsible charge (DRC) for wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal systems and/or water treatment and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide management and supervision to departmental staff, ensuring effective leadership and direction are provided to assigned employees.
  2. Prepare key organizational and financial documents, including operational records and maintenance reports.
  3. Maintain and upkeep of equipment and operating devices as necessary based on staffing levels.
  4. Perform physical and chemical tests as required, utilizing sampling methods and process quality control requirements.
Professional Requirements
  1. Possess general work-related skills at a level consistent with completion of a high school program or equivalent, including written and verbal communication skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematical knowledge.
  2. Hold a valid State of Hawaii Grade IV WWTP Operator License or Grade II WTP License and Grade II DSO License.
  3. Exhibit knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations pertaining to wastewater and related safety topics.
Technical Skills
  1. Ability to read and interpret meters and gauges, record readings, and maintain operation records.
  2. Familiarity with scheduling software programs used by the company.
  3. Proficiency in using computerized maintenance software, such as Ops 10/Antero/Field Aware/SCADA.
Licenses & Certifications
  1. Possess a valid driver's license.
  2. Hold a valid State of Hawaii Grade IV WWTP Operator License or Grade II WTP License and Grade II DSO License.
Salary Range

$40.23 - $50.09 per hour, commensurate with experience.
