We are the Homelessness Prevention Administration (HPA) within the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA). Our team is dedicated to providing long-term affordable housing options and support services for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Job Title: Senior Homelessness Prevention Coordinator

Location: New York City, NY

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking two experienced Community Coordinators to function as Senior Coordinators in our Master Leasing Unit. As a Senior Homelessness Prevention Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our programs run smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist CBO Providers in establishing contact with clients and develop tools for tracking, in accordance with program protocol.
  • Liaise with external partners and coordinate interagency efforts to ensure consistent program execution and achievement of key milestones.
  • Conduct site visits and maintain liaison with CBO providers and community support programs.
  • Present recommendations to management regarding processes and/or methods that could be implemented to enhance coordination.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to Cluster, Master Lease, and other CBO providers.
  • Advocate for clients' needs and the effective implementation of Homelessness Prevention programming and other CBO services.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above.
  • Or High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above.
  • Or Education and/or experience which is equivalent to
