Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets
  • Prospect for new business opportunities through individual creativity and innovation
  • Identify and pursue potential leads using a wide variety of means and tools
  • Utilize yield management techniques to negotiate room rates and function space commitments
  • Collaborate with revenue management resources to make informed decisions and maximize revenue
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor sales strategies
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required with at least 1 year of experience as a Sales Manager, Catering Sales Manager, or Sales Coordinator
  • Experience with professional selling skills, including opening, probing, supporting, and closing
  • Experience in internet research and database mining
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence other managerial personnel, hotel guests, and/or corporate clients
  • Proficiency in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, with strong organization and presentation skills
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state
