Responsibilities
  • Review and verify loan applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to obtain additional information and clarification on discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain loan files from opening to closing.
  • Ensure that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified, and complies with company policy.
  • Update and verify data into the loan processing system as needed.
  • Coordinate with the closing department to ensure a smooth transition and timely closing.
  • Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating and cooperating with all internal and external customers.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in the mortgage industry to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor or a similar role in the mortgage industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mortgage loan products, loan documents, and closing paperwork.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a proven record of maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficiency in using mortgage loan processing software and other related computer applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with strong decision-making skills.
