About the Role
Vincennes University is seeking a skilled Graphic Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and impactful designs that align with our brand identity across various platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design various materials for digital and broadcast, including social media graphics, broadcast graphics, website banners, email templates, and promotional products.
- Maintain a consistent brand identity across all visual content.
- Collaborate with the station team to conceptualize and execute projects.
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas for feedback and approval.
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, on-brand, and delivered on time.
- Develop and edit content for digital platforms, including websites, social media, and email marketing campaigns.
- Collaborate with station team members to produce cohesive & engaging content.
- Create video content and animations as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in design, content creation, and audience habits.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Marketing, Broadcasting/Media, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in graphic design and content creation.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of creative projects.
- Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and branding.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms is a plus.
- Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing strategies.
