Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with wound care needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
- Provide evidence-based wound care and education to patients and families, promoting optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.
- Document all care provided accurately and completely, adhering to hospital and departmental policies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in wound care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in wound care, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Valid Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse license in the state of employment.
- Experience working with wound care patients, with a strong understanding of wound assessment and management.
- Prior experience with billing and coding is preferred.
