Job Overview

As a Sales Associate - Retail at Office Depot, you will play a vital role in creating an exceptional customer experience. You will be responsible for actively connecting with customers, addressing their needs by recommending the right products and services to enhance their experience.

About the Role

  • Customer Centric Experience:
    • You will support a positive customer-centric experience by proactively acknowledging and engaging every customer.
    • You will utilize and understand our selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional products and/or services.
    • You will maintain awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs.
  • Store Operations Commitment:
    • You will consistently maintain store appearance to company guidelines and keep a neat, clean, well-stocked environment.
    • You will adhere to all standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation.
    • You will follow the established sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes.
    • You will ensure freight sorting area is organized and setup in accordance with guidelines.
    • You will scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily.
  • Print and Tech Expertise:
    • You will continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge through sales and service tools provided which includes successful completion and comprehension of an advanced level of Print and Technology training, as well as any other applicable training.
    • You will continued education in these areas is expected, up to and including designated certifications, if required.
  • Compliance Adherence and Support:
    • You will ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; and supports the company's loss prevention efforts.
    • You will perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • No previous experience required, Retail sales experience preferred.
  • You must possess basic computer skills.
  • You must possess the ability to use computers and technology for information and to access information necessary to complete the job.
  • You must possess the ability to process information/merchandise through POS register system.
  • You must be able to read, count and write to accurately complete documentation, utilize training tools and process inventory.
  • You must possess good interpersonal and communication skills, which are necessary to establish a selling relationship with customers and other employees.
  • You must enjoy interacting with people.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $15.20-$21.40 per hour, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
