Job Title: Senior Director of Child Development

FACES SF is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Director of Child Development to lead our early childhood education programs. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality programs that promote the unique potential of every child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead program planning, design, and implementation of child development programs for infant, toddler, preschool, and school-aged students.
  • Collaborate with the Family Support and Wellness team to implement a two-generation model, ensuring inclusive services for children and families.
  • Partner with the Inclusion team to ensure compliance with state requirements for exceptional children.
  • Supervise and coach the Child Development team, ensuring the implementation of Creative Curriculum and required assessments.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with other FACES departments, funders, and community organizations.

Requirements:

  • California Child Development Program Director level permit (required)
  • 10+ years of experience managing licensed child care centers, with excellent knowledge of CDE licensing requirements.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in State and/or Federally funded child care programs.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience leading diverse staff.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency preferred.
  • Ability to meet required state, federal, local, and CDC standards.
