We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Tufts University. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory testing procedures, including hematology, clinical chemistry, coagulation, and urinalysis.
Key Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing procedures, including CBC, clinical chemistry, coagulation, and urinalysis
- Provide customer service to clinicians, technicians, and students
- Clerical tasks, including sample accessioning, troubleshooting patient test orders, and preparing sample shipment to outside labs
- Document laboratory maintenance and QC, write or review SOPs, and remain current on email communications
- Participate in student/intern/resident education regarding routine diagnostic tests
- AS or BS in a science-based program
- MLT or MT with certification and a strong understanding of diagnostic assays, quality control, and troubleshooting
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a human or veterinary diagnostic lab setting
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a stressful environment with multiple tasks performed simultaneously
Competitive salary range: $32.40 - $44.70 per hour, based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity.
