Job Summary

Dartmouth Health is seeking a skilled Histology Specialist to join our team at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and Clinics. As a Histology Specialist, you will be responsible for performing routine tasks and advanced tests in a fast-paced, high-volume laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Process, embed, and microtome routine specimens efficiently with the highest quality.
  • Perform grossing of specific specimen types if qualified by CLIA regulation.
  • Conduct staining, including routine and special stains, efficiently with the highest quality.
  • Operate and maintain processing and staining equipment.
  • Ensure accurate results by following established quality control practices.
  • Identify and notify technical staff of quality control problems.
  • Train in routine areas, including processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of work experience in a clinical histology laboratory.
  • HT/HTL (ASCP) certification.
