Key Responsibilities
  • Align IT, Engineering, and Operations capabilities to design and deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Support the development of Statements of Work with customers, ensuring that their requirements, service levels, and integration points are clearly understood and communicated.
  • Review customer contract documents, technical specifications, and data analytics to ensure that correct operating models are designed and technologies are selected to support customer requirements.
  • Support customer meetings, develop presentations, and communicate solutions that demonstrate in-depth knowledge of FSC technical processes and operations.
  • Perform or lead teams for IT system identification, gap analysis, and potential customer solutions.
  • Guide and consult with implementation teams responsible for delivering solutions using FedEx-developed products and WMS solutions.
  • Work with customer implementation teams to resolve issues and collaborate with product management teams to deliver solutions within timelines.
  • Respond to new business and customer enhancement opportunities, including response documents and inputs into pricing of strategic business solutions.
  • Communicate difficult issues and organize teams to work together to solve issues quickly.
  • Engage Sales, Operations, IT, and other stakeholders to validate new business scope and solution design.
  • Collaborate with implementation and product development agile teams to define and review solution specifications for core and edge product enhancements and deliverables.
  • Communicate project status, concerns, and risks to all levels of leadership, providing scientific data to inform timely decision-making.
  • Act as a customer advocate for products and solutions, working with Architects and Product Management to develop comprehensive products that incorporate solution requirements to support implementation, core, and edge capabilities.
  • Collaborate with implementation teams to determine cross-program impacts, interdependencies of work, priorities, capacity, plans for communication, coordination, and delivery of implementation.
  • Interact with Product Managers and implementation agile teams to review demos and validate critical aspects of solutions, ensuring the right systems solutions are needed for customer implementations.
  • Build relationships and influence leadership, customers, Architects, Product Managers, and customer implementation teams to deliver solutions that conform to repeatable standards.
  • Work to establish, maintain, and update strategy (methodology, processes, standards, tools, services) used in customer implementations.
  • Partner with IT and business teams to ensure timely customer value delivery.
  • Ensure FedEx brand standards are upheld, particularly in the delivery of customer-facing standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math required, with 6-8 years of experience as a minimum.
  • In addition to minimum experience, an additional four (4) years of relevant, demonstrated experience working as a key member of a project team developing business processes, solutions, creating business requirements, and delivering business capabilities will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems, specifically in Manhattan Warehouse Management Operating System (WMOS), is preferred.
  • Experience in designing end-to-end solutions, including operational engineering, systems, implementation, customizations, and enhancements with Enterprise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for 3PL customers.
  • Demonstrate good understanding of Warehouse Management-related business process flows.
  • Understanding of Manhattan system process flows is desired.
  • Knowledge of typical integrations, such as between an ERP and WMS systems.
  • Experience developing and presenting analysis, strategy, and findings to Senior Company Leaders.
  • Knowledge of conveyance, automatic sortation equipment, material handling equipment, and product storage systems is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with emphasis on customer service.
  • Strong team player.
  • Knowledge of Agile and Lean values/concepts.
  • Uses solutions-based thinking in problem-solving, asking probing questions, and looking for underlying issues.
  • Strong influencing skills with customers to understand the system and capabilities for deliverables.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to inform teams and stakeholders.
  • Business acumen and ability to understand the larger company strategy.
  • Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
