The CEO will allocate 75% of their time to program-related initiatives, while dedicating 25% to administrative, awareness, and fundraising efforts. Your dedication to social change and commitment to health equity will be crucial in broadening our outreach and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Vision:

  • Work closely with the Board of Directors to implement the strategic plan that aligns with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Provide guidance to enhance the organization's growth and outreach, ensuring responsiveness to community needs.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive organizational culture.

Operational Oversight:

  • Manage daily operations, ensuring efficient collection, sorting, storage, and distribution of hygiene products.
  • Refine operational processes to improve efficiency and maximize impact.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and optimize the inventory management system.
  • Collaborate with volunteers to create a welcoming and organized environment.

Community Engagement:

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and government entities to secure donations and support.
  • Represent the organization in public forums, media, and community events to raise awareness and garner support.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and address emerging hygiene needs within the community.

Fundraising and Resource Development:

  • In collaboration with the Board of Directors, devise and execute fundraising strategies to secure financial resources for ongoing operations and growth.
  • Cultivate relationships with individual donors, businesses, and grant-making organizations.
  • Conduct research and engage in grant writing and fundraising activities to ensure the financial sustainability of the organization and this role.
  • Ensure accurate, transparent, and responsible financial management.

Volunteer Coordination:

  • Guide and support the Volunteer Coordinator in the recruitment, training, and management of a diverse volunteer team.
  • Foster a positive volunteer experience, recognizing and valuing their contributions.

Advocacy and Public Awareness:

  • Advocate for policies addressing hygiene poverty and promoting equitable access to hygiene products.
  • Develop and implement public awareness campaigns to educate the community on hygiene-related issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence and proficiency in public speaking, comfortable delivering presentations and addressing groups.
  • Ability to build and sustain effective partnerships.
