Respiratory Therapist

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) is a critical member of our healthcare team, providing therapeutic procedures and diagnostic testing to chronically and acutely ill patients requiring respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality respiratory care, ensuring a safe and effective environment for patients.
- Initiate and administer therapeutic procedures, diagnostic tests, and education in accordance with departmental policy and procedures.
- Record patient information and maintain accurate departmental records.
- Collaborate with physicians, house staff, and other healthcare disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in quality initiatives and promote evidence-based practice.
Requirements:
- Education: Successful completion of a 2 or 4-year Respiratory Care Program or completion of additional educational requirements allowing eligibility to obtain registry credentials.
- Licensure / Certification: Ohio Respiratory Care Professional License to practice in the State of Ohio and National Board of Respiratory Care credential indicating RRT or CRT.
- Experience: Clinical experience in adult and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures, including aerosolized delivery of medication, mechanical ventilation, and pulmonary function studies.
- Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to maintain current BLS certification.
