About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Regulatory Affairs Manager to join our team at Archer Daniels Midland Company. As a key member of our regulatory affairs team, you will be responsible for leading a team of regulatory specialists and providing strategic guidance on regulatory compliance and affairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Team of Regulatory Specialists: You will be responsible for leading a team of 5 regulatory specialists in North America and Canada, focused on animal nutrition and pet regulatory affairs and compliance.
  • Provide Regulatory Guidance: You will provide advice and act proactively to anticipate any regulatory changes impacting the business through horizon scanning.
  • Engage with External Partners: You will engage with external partners, including regulatory bodies and trade associations, to represent the company and defend its interests in North America and globally.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You will interact and guide specialists across the organization, including colleagues working with commercial registrations, and from other business units in other regions.
  • Ensure Market Authorization: You will ensure market authorization for ingredients and finished products.
  • Develop Regulatory Strategy: You will proactively define the regulatory strategy to accelerate the market launch and sales growth of new specialty additives, ingredients, amino acids, and pet food in collaboration with colleagues and external consultants.
  • Advise on Regulatory Compliance: You will advise and support quality, marketing, and product management departments in ensuring regulatory compliance of products and marketing materials.
  • Manage Product Labeling: You will manage and advise on product labeling and MSDS following ADM standards.
  • Engage with Customers and Regulatory Authorities: You will engage with customers and regulatory authorities by responding to regulatory inquiries.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: You must have a Master's degree in animal nutrition, toxicology, food/feed law, or a related field.
  • Management Experience: You must have 5+ years of experience in a management role within regulatory affairs.
  • Cross-Cultural Approach: You must have a cross-cultural approach and be able to work effectively in a global environment.
  • Organizational Skills: You must have high organizational skills and be able to multitask.
  • Communication Skills: You must have good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence people.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English is a pre-requisite, with additional languages being an asset.
