Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse, you will collaborate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and coordinate treatment strategies, ensuring the objectives of the nursing department are met. Your role is pivotal in achieving favorable patient and departmental outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assume overall accountability for assigned patients.

· Facilitate the efficient flow of patient care, including preparation for examinations and general nursing support.

· Maintain and update patient records, including test results.

· Administer medications per physician directives.

· Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans.

· Handle incoming calls and perform phone triage as necessary.

Qualifications:

· Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.

· Current RN license in the state of practice or an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.

· Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
