Job Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a key member of our maintenance team at SHP Management Corp, responsible for ensuring the overall facilities maintenance is performed to the highest standards.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual who can provide exceptional support to our residents and colleagues by maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our properties.

Responsibilities
  • To perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, repairs, and replacements of equipment, fixtures, and appliances.
  • To prepare apartments for new residents, including cleaning and minor repairs.
  • To maintain the grounds and common areas, including parking lots, laundry rooms, and office buildings.
  • To respond to emergency situations, such as snow removal and fire emergencies.
  • To complete incident reports within 24 hours of occurrence.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in all facets of property maintenance.
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, appliance repair, maintenance, grounds maintenance, roofing, flooring, etc. or the ability to learn this skill.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds. They will also be required to stand for long periods, walk, sit, and use their hands and fingers to handle and manipulate objects.

Compensation

$23-$25 per hour, depending on experience.
