Automotive Technician Lead

Job Overview: CarMax is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team in Portland, ME. As an Automotive Technician at CarMax, you will be responsible for performing vehicle repairs and maintenance while providing exceptional customer service.
About the Role:
- Perform vehicle inspections and diagnose issues
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on vehicles using manufacturer-approved procedures
- Provide accurate estimates and communicate with customers regarding repair costs and timelines
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Collaborate with other technicians and management to achieve productivity goals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive technician
- ASE certifications (A4 and A5) required where applicable by state/local law
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
