Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

• Generally requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant technical or business experience

• Basic understanding of networking, security, and automated middleware deployments in AWS GovCloud utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Key Responsibilities:

The primary focus of this role is to serve as a DevOps engineer, responsible for scripting and automation within the AWS ecosystem. The engineer will facilitate the development of automation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), promote IaC through a CI/CD pipeline, and enhance existing processes such as re-hydration. A working knowledge of AWS services, including Elastic Kubernetes Service, is essential for building infrastructure.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain current build and deployment processes across all products
  • Collaborate with Application Developers, QA Engineers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to establish deployment best practices
  • Uphold best practices for security and reliability across IT services
  • Design and implement new application components and infrastructures
  • Establish and maintain a continuous integration environment
  • Support and troubleshoot product and infrastructure issues in production settings
  • Create configuration scripts for automation tools and automate repetitive tasks
  • Monitor and manage cloud-hosted applications and build integrations
  • Engage in engineering design and deployment planning

Complexity:

This role involves collaboration with partners across 1-2 business functions to align technological solutions with business objectives. The engineer will support several moderately complex business initiatives and participate as a project team member.
