YOUR ROLE:

As a Professional Services Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with clients to deliver installation, migration, training, and advisory services for our cutting-edge software-defined storage and data management solutions. Your responsibilities will include managing installations that range from simple cloud-based setups to complex hybrid architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adopt a consultative approach to client interactions
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client efficiency and effectiveness
  • Execute Statements of Work (SOW) with support from technical architects
  • Assist in the development and upkeep of documentation and scripts tailored to client needs
  • Communicate insights and opportunities to the customer account team
  • Provide constructive feedback to product management and development teams
  • Influence the strategic objectives and long-term goals of the Professional Services team
  • Mentor fellow Professional Services Engineers to foster their technical growth
  • Oversee multiple projects, either as the lead engineer or by providing guidance to other engineers

QUALIFICATIONS:

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in cross-platform system administration, including user authentication in diverse environments
  • Proficient in networking, with advanced switch configuration skills
  • Familiarity with high-throughput networking technologies such as RDMA and RoCE
  • Knowledge of LDAP or Active Directory
  • Proficient in scripting languages like Perl, Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience in data collection and analysis, including monitoring tools
  • Familiarity with configuration management frameworks like Salt or Ansible
  • Experience with monitoring platforms such as Nagios and Prometheus
  • Basic understanding of Docker

Desirable Skills:

  • Certifications in vendor-specific SAN/NAS technologies
  • Experience in implementing high-performance storage solutions
  • Familiarity with parallel or clustered file systems
  • Knowledge of enterprise data storage technologies
  • Experience in Windows Server or UNIX/Linux administration
  • Understanding of cloud computing and object storage solutions
  • Experience in technical writing or consulting is a plus
