The role of the Logistics Freight Forwarding Sales Specialist involves strategizing and executing direct sales initiatives to acquire new clients in both domestic and international freight forwarding sectors. This position requires engaging with current and potential clients to promote our comprehensive solutions and services, driving business development efforts, and managing partnerships with resellers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the freight forwarding and logistics industries.
- Promote the full range of company products and services for import and export operations to boost sales.
- Achieve and surpass sales objectives and targets.
- Conduct market research to uncover new business prospects and assess client needs.
- Implement established sales strategies and objectives effectively.
- Maintain robust relationships with clients through effective communication and service delivery, addressing inquiries regarding products, pricing, and services.
- Provide exceptional support during sales calls and ensure timely follow-up.
- Stay informed about industry trends, including competitor activities and market dynamics.
- Collaborate closely with the product and pricing teams, as well as international partners, to ensure accuracy in quotes and proposals.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in international freight forwarding or relevant logistics sales.
- Preferred experience with leading global freight forwarding companies.
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in a business-related discipline is required.
- In-depth knowledge of the domestic and international transportation landscape, including trucking, rail, air, and ocean freight.
- Demonstrated success in sales, account development, and prospecting.
- Familiarity with digital freight forwarding platforms and processes.
- Proven ability to cultivate trustworthy relationships with clients at all organizational levels.
- Exceptional presentation and sales skills, with meticulous attention to detail and follow-up.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% within the U.S.
