The RoleWe are seeking a Social Media Coordinator with a passion for social media and digital content to join our creative, highly collaborative Editorial team.
The ideal candidate will work hand-in-hand with our social media, editorial, and creative leads to bring unique stories to life in a social-first way.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to social media interactions, including comments, messages, and mentions
- Conduct proactive engagement to grow our audiences
- Assist Social Media Managers with content curation, outreach, and scheduling/posting content as needed
- Work with Editorial Director and contributors to optimize editorial stories for social channels
- Contribute reported/researched stories for editorial sites and social channels
- Monitor social media trends and stay up-to-date with platform best practices
- Brainstorm new and innovative ideas for content that will resonate with our audience
- Work collaboratively across editorial, creative, sales, and other internal teams to champion fully integrated, social-first ideas
We are looking for a strong candidate with:
- A strong understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram
- Exceptional writing and research skills
- Skilled communication in both written and verbal formats
- Creative, innovative thinking
- Able to manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Organized and detail-oriented, with relentlessly high standards
