Marketing Coordinator

Home of Guiding Hands is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Intern to support our team in content creation, social media management, flyer design, and email marketing. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, with strong writing and design skills, and experience with social media platforms. Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Graphic Design:
- Develop visually appealing graphics for social media, newsletters, flyers, and other marketing materials.
- Assist in designing promotional materials for events and campaigns.
- Maintain and update visual branding elements to ensure consistency across all platforms.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop creative concepts and design solutions.
- Social Media Content:
- Develop and schedule engaging content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Monitor social media channels for trends, comments, and direct messages, responding as appropriate.
- Analyze social media performance and provide insights to improve engagement and reach.
- Assist in growing the organization's online community by identifying opportunities to engage with new audiences.
- Marketing Campaign Support:
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote the organization's mission and services.
- Help coordinate marketing efforts for special events, such as fundraisers and community outreach programs.
- Support email marketing initiatives by creating content and managing distribution lists.
- Content Creation:
- Write and edit copy for social media posts, blog articles, newsletters, and other digital content.
- Collaborate with team members to brainstorm and generate new content ideas.
- Assist in maintaining the organization's website by updating content and ensuring accuracy.
- Administrative Support:
- Help manage the organization's digital asset library, including organizing and archiving photos, videos, and graphics.
- Support the marketing team in tracking project timelines and deliverables.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute creative ideas to marketing strategies.
- Research and Reporting:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices in non-profit marketing.
- Assist in preparing reports on marketing activities, including social media analytics and campaign performance.

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Marketing, Communications, or related program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- A passion for non-profit work and making a difference in the community.
Work Environment:
This job operates in an office environment. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee may frequently move to interact with fellow employees and/or clients. Additionally, the individual may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
