About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to serve as the single point of accountability for the development of therapeutic area and disease area level strategies for translation, reverse translation, and precision medicine.

This role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams to embed translational and precision medicine considerations for development of assets within the discovery phase.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision medicine and experience in leading and integrating cross-functional and technical teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement therapeutic area and disease area level strategies for translation, reverse translation, and precision medicine.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed translational and precision medicine considerations for development of assets within the discovery phase.
  • Mentor and guide precision medicine leads within the therapeutic area on phase-appropriate exploration of precision medicine considerations to inform asset development strategic options.
  • Identify appropriate data sources and partnerships to advance therapeutic area level biomarker and human data strategies to support translational, reverse translational, and precision medicine strategies for the therapeutic area.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience:
  • Doctorate degree and 6 years of precision medicine experience, or Master's degree and 10 years of precision medicine experience, or Bachelor's degree and 12 years of precision medicine experience.
  • 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Education and Experience:
  • MD or PhD with 10+ years of industry and academic experience.
  • Deep therapeutic area and disease experience.
  • Management experience leading and integrating cross-functional and technical teams.
  • Deep scientific and analytical expertise in integrating multiple data sources, e.g., omic, clinical, Real-World Evidence.
  • Deep precision medicine experience applied to target therapeutic areas.
  • Strong professional medical network (external KOLs, institutions, and partners).
