Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HR Consultant to spearhead various human resources initiatives and offer effective human capital support within our operational market.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of human resources management and have experience in consulting as well as addressing real HR challenges. The HR Consultant will be responsible for delivering tailored service solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients through proactive HR consultation and business engagement. This role will work closely with market leadership in the planning, development, implementation, and assessment of client activities, providing HR guidance on employee relations and executing strategic HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture strong, enduring client relationships through regular strategic meetings.
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships by offering sound HR recommendations based on expertise in employment law, compliance, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients by fostering relationships and delivering high-quality human resources services across various industries. Proactively engage with clients to understand their business models, HR practices, and strategic objectives.
  • Provide customized HR solutions that align with internal standards and best practices, enhancing communication, productivity, and organizational culture while minimizing risk. Solutions may include handbooks, job descriptions, performance evaluation systems, and more.
  • Deliver exceptional account management services, ensuring timely resolution of client inquiries by collaborating with internal teams to achieve client satisfaction.
  • Participate in client prospect meetings alongside sales and service teams to provide insights on potential benefits to prospective clients.
  • Independently design, customize, and implement client service plans to ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Analyze client requirements to initiate and lead human resource programs and projects effectively.
  • Recommend and implement training programs to enhance business operations and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee benefits open enrollment activities for the assigned client portfolio.
  • Advise client contacts on HR best practices and suggest improvements in strategy and tactical HR functions.
  • Complete administrative tasks including the creation of handbooks, content development, client communications, policy formulation, and investigation reports.
  • Accurately document all client interactions in the CRM and HRIS systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and laws.
  • Maintain consistency across sites, regions, and the organization.
  • Adhere to company policies and guidelines.
  • Travel as necessary for onsite client visits and internal meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
  • 3 years of HR/account management experience in consulting or corporate environments, particularly in relationship-building roles.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to think strategically and understand client organizational issues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to service excellence.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices and understanding of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in multiple HR disciplines including employee relations, coaching, performance management, and recruitment.
  • Able to manage multiple projects while maintaining focus on daily HR matters.
  • Strong prioritization skills and a sense of urgency in task completion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning new applications as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client sites.
  • PEO experience is advantageous.
  • Preferred experience in benefits and open enrollment.
  • Must maintain a current SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or be able to obtain one within 12 months of hire.
