Automotive Accounting Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team at a reputable Automotive Dealership in the Savannah/Hilton Head area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Finance Manager to prepare contracts for bank funding, ensuring all necessary documents are accurate and complete.
  • Process tag and title work for new and used vehicles, working closely with the DMV.
  • Assist with stocking inventory, including new and used vehicles.
  • Support HR with payroll processing, verifying employee information through E-Verify.
  • Work with the Warranty clerk to process payments and assist the BDC department as needed.
  • Partner with the Controller to maintain a smooth-running accounting office.
  • Provide support to other departments as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous accounting experience is essential.
  • Self-motivation and a proactive approach are necessary.
  • DMV experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in computer software and good phone skills are essential.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong knowledge of cash management principles, account balancing, and mathematics is necessary.
  • Ability to multitask, manage internal/external relations, and solve problems effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to answer and transfer phone calls.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and be a current resident.
  • Pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, and drug screening.
