UCSF Fresno & VACCHCS - EMERGENCY ROOM PHYSICIAN POSITION
UCSF Fresno in collaboration with the Veterans Affairs Central California Healthcare System (VACCHCS) is in search of a dedicated full-time faculty member to fulfill the role of an Emergency Room Physician. Candidates must possess a medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent), be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine, and have completed a residency in Internal Medicine, with eligibility to secure a US medical license. Additionally, candidates must qualify for appointment at the VA. For further details regarding the VA's basic qualification standards, please refer to the relevant guidelines.
Preferred qualifications include teaching and scholarly experience with residents in both ambulatory and inpatient settings. A portion of the candidate's responsibilities may involve providing clinical mentorship to nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and/or medical students. The selected individual will engage in direct patient care, educational activities, and scholarly or creative pursuits. This role is integral to the UCSF Fresno residency and fellowship programs.
The Emergency Room program operates within VACCHCS, the primary healthcare facility serving Veterans in the Central Valley. VACCHCS is recognized as a Complexity Level IC health care facility, with an active and expanding clinical research initiative. Faculty appointments with UCSF will be aligned with the applicant's qualifications and achievements.
For positions funded exclusively by the affiliate organization, a reasonable salary estimate for this role ranges from $220,000 to $400,000.
