Position Summary: The University of California, San Francisco is seeking qualified faculty members to join the Adult Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Division. This role is available at the ranks of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing clinical services in the Interventional Pulmonology (IP) department, as well as participating in the outpatient pulmonary practice, with a particular focus on the IP and Lung Nodule Program.
Program Highlights: The Lung Program at UCSF Fresno is recognized as one of the largest in the nation, dedicated to the early detection and rapid treatment of lung cancer. Depending on their expertise and interest in Interventional Pulmonology, candidates may also provide coverage in the Medical ICU. Additional responsibilities include teaching, supervising trainees, and engaging in clinical research. Faculty appointments and compensation will align with the applicant's qualifications and achievements.
Institutional Environment: UCSF Fresno offers residency programs and fellowships in Internal Medicine, including a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship. The medical education program operates within a leading medical center, featuring a 700-bed Level 1 Trauma Center and a state-of-the-art endoscopy unit for advanced bronchoscopy procedures.
Candidate Qualifications: Applicants must possess board certification in Internal Medicine and be board certified or eligible in both Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine, as well as in Interventional Pulmonology. Eligibility for a California Medical License is also required.
Living in Fresno: The position is based in Fresno, California, where residents benefit from a high quality of life and a relatively affordable real estate market. Fresno is uniquely situated near three national parks, including the famous Yosemite National Park, as well as the Pacific Ocean and major urban centers in California.
Compensation: For positions funded by the affiliate organization, a competitive salary range has been provided.
