POSITION OVERVIEW

This engineering position can be filled at either the Senior Engineer or the Senior Staff Engineer level. Please refer to the minimum qualifications outlined below for each level.

Senior Engineer Salary Range: $115,200 - $141,000

Senior Staff Engineer Salary Range: $138,600 - $154,000

Salary ranges are annual and contingent upon experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k) plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver advanced technical and engineering solutions to support nuclear facility operations while serving as a resource and technical authority for engineering teams.
  • Provide expert technical consultation through direct engagement and as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system challenges.
  • Exercise engineering and technical leadership accountability for both short-term and long-term initiatives impacting site operations.
  • Execute engineering tasks as assigned by management, applying established engineering principles.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and punctuality of work, maintaining proper configuration management and adherence to standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes in the preparation of plans and specifications.
  • Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects and initiatives.
  • Propose equipment, innovative concepts, and techniques to enhance performance, streamline construction, reduce costs, rectify design or material deficiencies, or comply with evolving codes or regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

For Senior Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Licensed Professional Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience, including at least 1 year as an Engineer 3.
  • A minimum of 7 years of solid performance (with the last year in the top half of the Engineer 3 band) demonstrating the required competencies.
  • Experience in Commercial Nuclear Power Plant operations.

For Senior Staff Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering or a Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Over 10 years of engineering experience with exceptional performance records.
  • Approval from the VP of Engineering is required to attain this classification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Engineer Registration.
  • Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework.
  • Expertise in design evaluation and inspection of nuclear or commercial structures.
