About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist I to join our team at Aurora St. Lukes Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical fields, ensuring the highest level of sterility and safety.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing necessary instruments and supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, supplies, and inventory, ensuring timely restocking and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
