Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist I to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Surgical Technologist I, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our surgical team to deliver outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain aseptic surgical environments, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, providing essential support and equipment as needed.
  • Transport patients and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to hospital protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of operating room equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull with 30 pounds of force, and perform other physical demands of the role.
