Compensation Overview
The anticipated annual salary for this position ranges from $96,600.00 to $132,900.00. This range reflects the base salary an applicant can expect upon hiring, with variations based on relevant experience, skills, and educational background. Additionally, this role is eligible for an incentive bonus.
Role Overview
The Production Management Leader is tasked with overseeing the manufacturing processes, ensuring the quality of finished products, and managing raw materials across multiple production lines in a continuous manufacturing environment. This role also encompasses employee training and development. The leader will communicate and support corporate objectives and facility targets related to safety, productivity, and product quality, effectively addressing and resolving operational challenges while formulating corrective actions. In the absence of the plant manager, this individual may assume their responsibilities.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Oversee manufacturing resources to achieve production targets and assist in budget preparation and cost measurement standards.
- Plan and schedule work to optimize equipment use and maintain peak productivity.
- Utilize operational metrics to manage product costs, material usage, machine downtime, and other shift functions.
- Actively promote safety improvements by striving to reduce OSHA incident rates and lost time accidents to zero.
- Develop and implement controls and metrics for material and labor usage.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, guaranteeing that manufactured goods meet established specifications.
- Maintain strict adherence to all financial, legal, regulatory, and environmental standards within operations.
- Manage product manufacturing, quality assurance, and raw material oversight for the operation.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in management, engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of operational leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong supervisory and leadership capabilities.
- Proven track record of leading change and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with the Plant Leadership team.
- Proficient in diagnosing and resolving process-related issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with SAP or ERP systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Responsible for managing a team of 3 salaried and approximately 80 hourly employees, including performance evaluations, pay reviews, hiring, and terminations.
- Physical capability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
- Minimal travel required, estimated at 0 – 10 days per year.
- Work environment typical of a manufacturing facility, with potential exposure to various environmental conditions.
