We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Community Counseling Center. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to children and adolescents in our residential treatment program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized support and care to clients, promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Assist clients with daily living skills, including household management and self-care management.
- Teach functional living skills, such as anger management, social skills, and emotional coping skills, based on individual treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to coordinate client care services and ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Document client observations and progress, adhering to agency policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular checks, including personal belongings, room checks, and grounds checks, to ensure client safety.
- Transport clients to and from appointments as needed and ensure timely arrival.
- Intervene in behavioral health crisis situations, using seclusion and/or restraint interventions as necessary, to prevent self-harm or harm to others.
- Maintain certification in Pro-ACT and CPR/First Aid, ensuring up-to-date knowledge and skills.
