We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Review and interpret medication orders, ensuring accuracy and appropriateness for each patient.
- Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Patient Education: Provide clear and concise information to patients and their families about medication use, potential side effects, and other important health information.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest standards of patient care and medication management.
- Leadership and Training: Supervise and train pharmacy technicians, interns, and externs to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional patient care.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of Washington or ability to obtain licensure.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
This position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to biohazardous materials and potential for physical demands such as lifting and bending.
