Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radiation Oncology Equipment Engineer to join our team at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. This is a full-time position based out of our NYP/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and revise departmental policies and procedures for the operation, performance monitoring, and maintenance of radiotherapy equipment.
  • Provide electronic and mechanical engineering support across designated medical campuses and affiliation centers.
  • Perform in-house repairs, preventative maintenance, and calibration of radiotherapy equipment.
  • Coordinate effective communication between departmental staff and outside repair services to ensure minimal disruption to patient treatment flow.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Technology or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Electronic/Mechanical Engineering for Radiotherapy Equipment, especially in Megavoltage Medical Linear Accelerators and associated equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification from major Linear Accelerator vendors such as Varian, Siemens, Elekta, Accuray, TomoTherapy etc.
  • Three years of experience or pertinent field experience.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. NewYork-Presbyterian offers comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
