Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Community and Economic Development Manager. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic organization that is dedicated to promoting economic growth and development in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement economic development and regional planning programs that align with the organization's strategic goals.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to a team of professionals responsible for transportation and land use planning, community engagement, and economic development.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including local government officials, business leaders, and community organizations, to identify and address regional development needs.
  • Develop and manage budgets, contracts, and grants to support program implementation.
  • Represent the organization in various forums, including public meetings, conferences, and workshops.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in planning, public administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in economic development, regional planning, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience in managing teams and budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of federal and state grant programs, land use planning principles, and transportation facilities development and planning.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires regular attendance and participation in meetings and events. The successful candidate will be required to travel throughout the region to attend meetings and engage with stakeholders.
