We are currently seeking a Security Technology Lead with a focus on Physical Security to oversee operations at our data center. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead various initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Security Technology Lead reporting to the Security Manager, your role will encompass a variety of critical tasks. You will be responsible for the design and execution of security systems, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, and your efforts will have a direct impact on the safety and security of xAI personnel, clients, and facilities. Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders will be essential, as will your ability to navigate complex interdependencies and act with urgency.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with security technologies
  • Implement technological solutions to uphold security policies and procedures
  • Oversee the functionality of security camera and access control systems
  • Ensure the maintenance and proper operation of security cameras, gates, doors, lighting, and other security-related hardware
  • Identify ongoing needs for security technology and staffing requirements
  • Develop drone detection and ground radar capabilities
  • Build and lead a team of security technology professionals
  • Establish protocols for the implementation of security technology, create redundancies, and propose enhancements for evolving security challenges
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure seamless integration of network-connected security devices into the broader IT infrastructure

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience managing physical security projects, including overseeing the installation of Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, and Access Control systems

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Strong interest in innovative, cutting-edge security technologies
  • Proficiency in access control strategies and policies
  • Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems
  • Project Management Certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent experience
  • Experience with security systems software and applications
  • Experience interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs and Work Breakdown Structures
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Ownership of a site's security posture and associated projects throughout the site lifecycle
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Extensive experience working collaboratively in teams
  • Exemplary character and integrity
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Aptitude for de-escalating disputes and conflicts

Additional Requirements:

  • Position subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
  • Work may be performed in confined spaces, requiring physical dexterity
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. unassisted
  • Comfortable working at heights (up to 100 feet) with appropriate safety equipment
  • Comfortable working in extreme outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, and rain
  • Comfortable in environments with exposure to fumes, odors, and noise
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as operational needs dictate; flexibility is essential
  • Willingness to travel as necessary (up to 10%)
  • Valid driver's license required

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $110,000 - $150,000

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one component of your total rewards package at xAI. You may also be eligible for long-term incentives, including company stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses.
