Associate Governmental Program Analyst

Job Description and Duties
The Governor's Office of Planning & Research (OPR) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Governmental Program Analyst to join the Strategic Growth Council, Energy Investments division. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the SGC Solar for All program, ensuring seamless coordination with California Solar for All agency partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Solar for All Associate Planner in achieving the goals of the California Solar for All Program, including accelerating the deployment of solar+storage solutions in underserved communities, alleviating electricity bill pressures, and contributing to the state's decarbonization goals.
- Collaborate with the Program Lead to support the Solar for All initiative's strategic direction and contribute to the broader goals of the SGC Energy Investments portfolio.
- Work closely with multi-agency coordination teams to ensure effective project implementation and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and community organizations.
- Provide administrative support to the Program Lead, including preparing reports, presentations, and other materials as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, public policy, or business administration.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in renewable energy, energy policy, or program management.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Working Conditions:
The position is eligible for telework in accordance with the OPR Telework Policy. All OPR employees must reside in California upon appointment.
