We are seeking a skilled Building Operating Engineer to join our team at Land O'Lakes. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing equipment to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing equipment, including ventilation systems, pumps, belts, filters, and electronic controls.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building automation systems, humidification systems, and rooftop units.
- Provide oversight of contracted services for small projects and repairs, ensuring compliance with Land O'Lakes' safe work practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of building systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- A minimum of 3 years of related mechanical maintenance experience or post-secondary technical training in lieu of work experience.
- Experience operating within a Preventative Maintenance (PM) program and working with Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Strong knowledge of best practices for troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of building mechanical and plumbing equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues, management, and external partners.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
