Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Production Support Engineer with a strong background in Linux and Unix environments. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of shell scripting and be adept at troubleshooting applications developed in Java and C++.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide expert support for middleware technologies, including CORBA, AIX, MQ, and file transfer systems.
  2. Manage L2/L3 incident and release management processes effectively.
  3. Oversee legacy and complex application handling, ensuring seamless operations.
  4. Collaborate with System Administrators and Infrastructure Teams for application and software installations.
  5. Ensure data center operations, including backups and monitoring, are conducted efficiently.
  6. Facilitate environment setup and release management according to specified requirements.
  7. Implement disaster recovery strategies and maintain password and permission administration.
  8. Conduct long-range disaster recovery planning and customer feedback surveys.
  9. Monitor system performance proactively to ensure secure services with minimal downtime.
  10. Establish and maintain documentation and standards for operational procedures.
  11. Perform performance analysis and tuning, implementing best practices on current systems.
  12. Provide L2/L3 ticket support and troubleshoot issues within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  13. Coordinate with application subject matter experts (SMEs) for effective troubleshooting.
  14. Support major incident management and provide on-call support as needed.
