Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations and lead the culinary team.
  • Manage busy shifts effectively, addressing challenges during service, maintaining communication with the team, and supporting front-of-house management.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations by maintaining organized kitchen operations and executing weekly deep cleaning protocols.
  • Handle food ordering and conduct daily and nightly inventory checks.


Required Qualifications:

  • Effective Communication: Demonstrate a language of hospitality and care towards both team members and guests. Be approachable and present during shifts, while building relationships with local farms and suppliers.
  • Business Acumen: Show a keen interest in the operational aspects of kitchen management, including forecasting orders, menu pricing, cost analysis, health compliance, inventory management, and labor budgeting.
  • Leadership and Training: Exhibit the ability to mentor and train culinary staff to achieve consistent results, while thoughtfully managing the team to promote our company culture.
  • Work Ethic: Willingness to commit to a 45-hour work week and demonstrate a proactive approach to completing tasks.
  • Adaptability: Comfort in high-energy environments that require quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Desire to Learn: Eagerness to explore and implement innovative culinary techniques.


Compensation: The position offers a salary of $50,000 plus benefits, including two weeks of paid vacation, a monthly case of beer, and potential bonus opportunities.
