Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at TPC Network. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef management team in creating innovative menu items, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of menu items for a la carte and banquet menus
  • Create daily specials that showcase culinary creativity and expertise
  • Design and execute imaginative theme decorations for banquets and buffets
  • Prepare and produce menu items according to standard recipes and presentation standards
  • Lead and direct the work of kitchen staff, including recruiting, hiring, training, and performance reviews
  • Train and supervise cooks in preparing menu items and maintaining high sanitation standards
  • Maintain high standards of quality and sanitation throughout the kitchen and dumpster areas
  • Use and operate large mixers and meat slicers
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of purchasing procedures to ensure proper quantities of product are on hand
  • Handle special requests, concerns, and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Utilize ChefTec to manage food inventory and production
  • Assist in maintaining internal controls for the Food & Beverage Department
  • Assume responsibility as the kitchen supervisor during meal periods, including banquets
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing and promotional programs for the Food & Beverage Department
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Culinary degree or equivalent training
  • Thorough knowledge of culinary concepts, practices, and procedures, as well as food preparation and kitchen maintenance operations
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
Physical Demands and Working Environment

This position requires regular standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, and use of hands to handle or feel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance, and peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Travel and Work Schedule Expectations
  • Travel is not expected for this position
  • This position requires shifts as necessary based on business levels
Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position manages employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of employees within the department
