About This Role

We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to join our team as a Parent Aide/Educator. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families affected by abuse and neglect.

Job Summary:

This is a flexible position that requires working with families in a one-on-one setting, providing parenting coaching and supportive counseling. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work positively with children and parents who may be experiencing mental health challenges, substance abuse, or intellectual disabilities.

The Parent Aide/Educator works closely with families to develop and implement treatment plans, which includes coordinating family visitations, providing attentive supervision, and assisting families in accessing community resources.

Responsibilities:
  1. Facilitate and coordinate family visitations, including transportation of children and/or their families.
  2. Provide attentive supervision during family visitation time.
  3. Help families increase their skills to effectively parent their children during supervised visitation.
  4. Develop and implement treatment plans, holding regular meetings as needed.
  5. Assist families in accessing community resources to meet social, medical, educational, vocational, and financial needs.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma with 4 years experience working with families required; Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field with 2 years experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 22 years old.
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
